ART CAREY, FOR THE INQUIRER
POSTED: Sunday, November 17, 2013, 8:51 AM
For millennia, practitioners of yoga and meditation in the East have known of the link between body and mind. But Western culture took a different tack after the French philosopher René Descartes proclaimed that the mind and body are separate and discrete.

Sexual Abuse Recovery and Neurofeedback training

Children who have suffered physical trauma have altered brain activity that must be corrected to allow normal development to proceed. The following description of a child's process in a bodywork session is a result of the QEEG-based neurofeedback home training program that he has been undertaking for the past few months. Dr. Dougal's visit was a great success, with two very productive conversations at Watermark and Atria Senior Living retirement communities. We had over 60 attendees and were able to answer questions about the trial and the technology involved. We are looking to include more participants in addition to those already enrolled.

If you or someone you know is interested in participating in a clinical trial for a drug-free intervention for dementia, call (610) 940-0488.

Here’s an experiment: close your eyes and say these 5 words and phrases separately, put some space between them so you can notice your reactions.  Say them to yourself and notice the reaction in your body as you say them.  Then remember the first time you ever heard someone say those words to you. Remember the tone of voice used by the person and the circumstances surrounding its use.
